Meet Dr. Mortimer M. Mortimer, an inventor trying to make a name for himself. Unfortunately, his inventions never work quite right. To further his misfortune, Mortimer's wise-cracking housekeeping robot, Error, refuses to clean... and his neighbor, Mindy, has no idea how much he's in love with her! Mortimer's life is always one malfunction after another!

Crunchy features a crazy turtle of the same name and his enjoyment of annoying others. The strip features a wide range of characters, both children and animal and their adventures in everyday life. The vein, self-centered Patrick eventually takes over as the strip's main character, despite the name Crunchy.
